The White Swan hotel actually began life as a New Zealand railways administration block at the Woburn Railyard in Lower Hutt. At its 1970s peak there were over a thousand men working at Woburn, but little did they know that this big wooden building would one day be a country pub. In December 2002 the building was relocated over the Rimutaka ranges in six pieces on the back of a few very large trucks. Needless to say this rogue piece was rescued from oblivion and all six pieces that started the journey were carefully pieced back together and fully restored to create the magnificent hotel that now takes pride of place on the 125-year-old main street of Greytown.

Aroma Indian Restaurant is a locally owned establishment, open 6 days, Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. We offer a variety of menu items to cater to different tastes such as our butter chicken which is full of flavour but not hot, our chilli -based dishes such as lamb vindaloo that can be very spicy and Indo-Chinese meals. We cater to vegetarians and vegans too with dishes such as Saag Paneer and Vegetable Biriyani. We are happy to discuss any dietary needs you have when you book your table. And to make sure the meal is to your liking, you can order your meal to suit your taste, be it Kiwi, Indian or English, mild, medium or hot.

The Offering is one of our favourite cafes in Greytown, for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Owners and hosts Bevan and Jacqui Morland took over the cafe when it was Jack & Jill's cafe and renamed it The Offering. They have a great staff on board and if you want a coffee, a snack, one of the famous Bicycle Kitchen Donuts, or a full meal, pop in and enjoy the great service and food/drink on offer.
